The SBS 1L model is the most compact version in the SBS series and was specially developed for applications with limited installation space. Despite its slim design, it offers reliable braking performance and is ideal for smaller drives with moderate braking torque requirements.
Typical applications include light conveyor systems, small positioning or holding applications and mechanical safety systems. The SBS 1L can be equipped with various actuators - pneumatic, mechanical or electric - which allows flexible customisation to different technical requirements.
The shrink disc is outside the flow of force when the system is in operation. Only very low dynamic loads and no wear occur on the shrink disc. The shrink disc is therefore fatigue-resistant when correctly designed.
