The shrink disc type HSD is a detachable machine element for connecting a hollow shaft to a shaft. The shrink disc is a maintenance-free connection that is insensitive to dirt thanks to the press fit and can be used in a variety of applications. The type HSD is a cost-effective connection of shaft and hub in, for example, wind turbine drives, packaging machines or baggage sorting systems.<\/p>

In addition to the two-piece HSD series, St\u00fcwe also offers a three-piece SD shrink disc. This is characterised by its slim design and high torque transmission. The three-part torque-controlled frictional connection is also a maintenance-free connection that is insensitive to dirt thanks to the press fit and can be used in a wide range of applications.<\/p>
